After an adult tiger was captured in a cage in Jangaliya village in Bhimtal, Uttarakhand, it is being estimated that now the menace of cannibalism will be stopped.

The forest department team has sent the tiger captured in a cage to Ranibagh Rescue Center late on Monday night.

A tiger got trapped in a cage in Nauli Tok of Jangaliya village of Bhimtal in Nainital district on Monday night. Two days before this also, a boulevard was trapped in a cage in Dudhli village of Baraun range.    There was evidence of tiger presence in two of the three incidents in the area, while the third was yet to be investigated.

Let us tell you that the search for the violent wildlife that killed three women in Kasail, Pinar and Tada villages of Bhimtal in Nainital district became a big challenge for the forest department.

Unknown predatory wildlife had victimized Indra Devi in Kasail, Maluvatal on December 7, Pushpa Devi in Pinners on December 9 and then 20-year-old Nikita Sharma in Tada village on December 20. Meanwhile,    after immense pressure from the villagers on the government, on December 10, the forest chief declared the attacker a cannibalistic gangster and issued an order to kill him.

As soon as the news of this order was published, the High Court took suo motu cognizance and summoned the officials, banned the killing of predatory wildlife and asked them to follow the guidelines regarding controlling predatory wildlife.

Recently, teams of experts have been patrolling the area and on Saturday, a healthy parrot was captured in a cage.

After WIIK expert Dr. Parag Nigam reached the spot on Saturday, two wildlife doctors from Corbett National Park also arrived to collect the necessary samples.

The department said that samples of feces, urine and resin of the caught Guldar have been taken, which are being prepared to be sent to the Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Dehradun.    After the report comes, the status of the third Malia attacker will become clear. It was told that the wild animal that attacked and killed Indra Devi of Kasail and Pushpa of Pinar was a tiger,

whose hair was recovered from the dead bodies. Apart from this, there is no information about the wildlife that attacked Nikita of Tada.

It is also important to mention that most of the incidents occur between November and January and the department through advertisements appeals    to the people not to go into the forest during this period. After failing to catch deer, ghural, kankar etc. these predatory wildlife start attacking easy prey like cow, goat, dog and human.

The study has also revealed that after eating a full meal, tigers do not hunt for 12 days and leopards for about a week.    These wildlife can travel up to 25 kilometers in one night to their territory. Now with the capture of the tiger, terror is expected to end. This can be confirmed only after receiving the sample.
