The weather is likely to change in Uttarakhand from Tuesday. Cold will increase due to rain and snowfall. Apart from this, there will be a drop in day temperature along with night. The Meteorological Center has predicted rain in five districts. Whereas snowfall in areas at a height of more than three thousand meters will increase the outbreak of cold wave.
The Meteorological Center has predicted rain in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts. Whereas snowfall in high altitude areas will have a direct impact on the temperature from the mountains to the plains.
Due to very less winter rainfall in the season, the normal day temperature is increasing by two to four degrees. Whereas due to frost and fog, the night temperature is going down by two to six degrees below normal. This is the reason why there is more melting and dry cold in the plains than in the mountains. In such a situation, even though the temperature will drop due to rain, it will provide relief from the freezing cold.
Dense fog has been prevailing in the plains for the last few days. People’s problems are increasing due to fog even during the day. Meteorologists say that after the rain, the fog will clear in the plains and sunshine will also provide relief from the cold.
