4% DA increase for Uttarakhand state employees approved, order issued

The demand to increase dearness allowance by four percent, similar to the Centre’s, has been going on for several months. On Friday, the Chief Minister approved its file. Today on Saturday, orders were issued to increase the dearness allowance of employees by four percent. Those who have been allowed the seventh revised pay scale, orders have been given to pay dearness allowance at the increased rate from July 01, 2023. View order: 42% from Finance Department’s Government Order No. 126937/XXVII(7)/E-22807/2022 dated: 02 June, 2023 to the government servants of the State Government, to whom the seventh revised pay scale is admissible, from 01 January, 2023 Dearness allowance has been allowed at the rate of Rs. Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure,

 

 

In the order of New Delhi’s Office Memorandum No. 1/4/2023-E-II(B) dated: October 20, 2023, regular and full-time employees of state employees, aided educational and technical educational institutions and urban local bodies, work Charged employees and UGC. The post holders working in the pay scales, who have been allowed the seventh revised pay scale, will be given the admissible dearness allowance in the basic pay from 01-07-2023, subject to pre-determined conditions and restrictions.

 

 

Shri Governor gladly approves the increase in the present rate of 42% to 46% per month. 3. This order will not automatically apply to the judges of the Hon’ble High Court, Chairman, members of Uttarakhand Public Service Commission and personnel of public undertakings etc., in their regard, separate orders will be required to be issued by the concerned departments. The arrears of revised dearness allowance to the said employees from July 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023 will be paid in cash.

 

 

From January 01, 2024, dearness allowance will be paid along with the regular salary but the pension contribution of the employees covered under the Contributory Pension Scheme will be deposited in the account related to the new pension scheme along with the employer’s share. And the remaining amount will be paid in cash. 5 Subject to the above mentioned conditions and previously mentioned conditions/restrictions, the above approved dearness allowance will also be admissible to All India Service officers working under the state of Uttarakhand.
