Cold has affected life in Uttarakhand. There is no respite from the cold wave in the state at present. Dense fog and cold winds are expected in 6 districts of Uttarakhand till January 16. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be cold day like conditions in these districts for the next 4 days from today. The Meteorological Center has issued a forecast of dense fog along with cold winds in Dehradun, Pauri, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar districts till January 16.
Today once again people’s problems will be seen increasing due to dense fog in Uttarakhand. During this period, some districts will be heavily affected by fog. Due to which the drop in temperature will make people shiver. During this period, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar Pauri and Nainital districts will be most affected due to fog. There will be a cold day like situation in some districts of the state from today for the next four days.
According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Centre, cold winds along with dense fog are expected in Dehradun, Pauri, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital and Haridwar districts till December 16. The Meteorological Center has issued an orange alert for fog in Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar today (Saturday). There are chances of severe cold wave in both these districts.
Whereas yellow alert was issued for dense fog in Dehradun, Pauri and Nainital districts. There will be cold wave conditions in some areas of these districts also. There has been little rain and snowfall in Uttarakhand so far this season, but the weather has not reduced its anger. On Friday also, cold day had an effect from the plains to the hilly areas. This was the coldest day of the season in the state. On Friday, the maximum temperature of the day dropped by 6 degrees to 13.4 degrees Celsius.
The Meteorological Department has forecast cold day like conditions in 6 districts for 4 days from today. Fog in some districts of the state and dry cold due to frost in the hilly areas are increasing the miseries of the people. On Friday, dense fog formed in many districts including Dehradun, the temperature dropped due to cold winds and the shivering cold troubled people throughout the day. Due to the cold day, there was a dark atmosphere due to cloud cover even during the day. Sunshine was seen at some places but it had no effect on the temperature.
Pantnagar recorded a maximum temperature of 12.5 degrees Celsius, a drop of 6 degrees. Mukteshwar’s maximum temperature was 18.7 degrees Celsius, 6 degrees Celsius higher. The temperature in New Tehri was also recorded at 18.8 degrees Celsius, three degrees above normal. Actually, cold day occurs after the temperature drops below 10 degrees and the maximum temperature falls below the season’s normal temperature by 4.5 to 6.4 degrees Celsius.
At the same time, a severe cold day is declared when the maximum temperature falls below 6.5 degrees Celsius or more. By January 16, the cold day in 6 districts of the state occurs after the temperature drops below 10 degrees and the maximum temperature falls below the season’s normal temperature by 4.5 to 6.4 degrees Celsius. At the same time, a severe cold day occurs when the maximum temperature falls below 6.5 degrees and above.
Due to changing weather patterns, the wind chill effect will continue until there is no winter rain this year. The chill will increase due to fog and frost. Meteorologists say that there is no possibility of rain or snowfall for the next few days. In such a situation, due to frost in the mountains and dense fog in the plains, people across the state will suffer from cold.
