Earthquake tremors were felt in the entire NCR including the national capital Delhi on Monday (January 22) night. People are in panic due to this. Many people came out on the streets after the earthquake that occurred at night. The tremors were so strong that people came out of their homes in the cold. The earthquake was also felt across the border in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

According to the National Seismological Center, the epicenter of the earthquake was in southern Xinjiang of China. Its intensity was measured at 7.2 on the Richter scale. The earthquake occurred at 11.39 pm. The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 80 kilometers from the ground.
