The Uttarakhand High Court, while hearing a PIL filed in Haldwani regarding the removal of only government properties instead of private properties for the beautification of the city and road widening, has issued instructions to the district administration saying that the private properties coming under the influence of road widening. Issue a notice to the property holders, listen to the objections for a week and remove them. The court has also asked the district administration to submit a progress report within 4 weeks. The court has fixed the date of February for hearing the case.

The case was heard in the division bench of the Acting Chief Justice. Let us tell you that Haldwani’s Naya Savera organization has filed a PIL in the High Court saying that from Mangal Padav to Roadways Bus Station, local people and other passengers have to face traffic jam every day. Which has become a big problem for everyone.

These days the administration is busy widening the road to get rid of the problem of traffic jam. For which the administration has demolished government properties from Mangal Padav to Roadways Station. But no action has been taken yet on private properties coming under the influence of road widening. Which are becoming obstacles in road widening whereas widening of the road is necessary to deal with the jam.
