Road accidents in the border area Pithoragarh are not showing signs of stopping. Kotwali Dharchula police received information that, at around 12:40 pm on the night of 28/29-12-2023,

a Bolero vehicle no. – UK05TA-3021* which was coming from Najang towards Garbadhar, went out of control near village Jipti Tok Garbadhar and fell into a ditch about 400 meters deep and crashed.

There were a total of two people on board, including the driver, who died on the spot. As soon as the information was received, Kotwali Dharchula and Police Station Pangla police team and SDRF,

SSB and Revenue team reached the spot and with the help of local people, rescued the bodies of both the deceased and brought them to the main road. After the proceedings of Panchayatnama by the police team, the dead bodies are being sent to the hospital/mortuary for post-mortem.
