The weather patterns in Uttarakhand are changing every moment. Today also the morning started with mild sunshine. At the same time, there was dense fog in some areas of Kumaon and Haridwar.  At the same time, there are chances of snowfall in the hilly districts of the state today. Due to this, the cold will increase in the morning and evening as well as in the afternoon.

Last Friday, the cold suddenly increased due to the first dense fog of winter in Haldwani. After dark the fog continued to thicken.   20 meter visibility and 85 percent humidity were measured. According to meteorologists, there is a possibility of dense fog along with light sunshine for the next one week.   The State Meteorological Center has issued orange and yellow alerts regarding dense fog in the plains.

According to the Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain and snowfall in the hill districts like Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh.

Buses and trains got delayed in Haldwani due to fog on Friday. Normal life is being greatly affected due to dense fog during the season.

After this, dense fog in the morning and night in the plains on New Year can increase the problems of the people.   The Meteorological Center has predicted rain and snowfall in Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh. Whereas, orange alert has been issued for dense fog in Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather patterns in Uttarakhand can change rapidly today. Due to the activity of Western Disturbance, there is a possibility of snowfall on the higher peaks.  The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert regarding dense fog in the plains. Whereas in the hilly areas the weather remains dry and there is bright sunshine, due to which the temperature remains higher than normal.

Due to which the outbreak of cold is less visible even in the last month of December. According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of rain in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand today.
