The body of a female warden, who went missing in an accident during the trial of a new vehicle in the Chilla range of Rishikesh in Uttarakhand, was found on Thursday morning when the water in the canal receded. On Monday, four people, including two forest rangers, died on the spot in an accident during a vehicle trial and woman officer Alok was missing since then. SDRF was continuously carrying out an intensive search operation. Today, on the fourth day after seeing the body at around 7:15 in the morning, SDRF took it out and handed it over to the local police.

 

The body of Warden Alok, who went missing in the Chilla accident on Monday evening, has been found from Shakti Canal today. Inspector Kavindra Sajwan present on the spot told that the recovered body has been identified as that of the female officer missing in the incident. The body recovered by SDRF has been handed over to the district police for further action.

 

Since Monday, a continuous intensive search operation was being carried out by the SDRF in search of the missing officer. On one hand, intensive searching was being done by the SDRF through state-of-the-art search equipment like sonar and underwater drones. On the other hand, deep divers were continuing the search till the bottom of the canal by scuba diving.

 

On the other hand, a case has been registered against the vehicle company and the driver. On the written complaint of Forest Range Officer Gauhari Range Rajaji Tiger Reserve Rajesh Chandra Joshi, a case was registered against Ashwani Bijo, manager and driver of Aska and Praveg Company, at Laxman Jhula police station. At the same time, the SDRF team was continuously conducting search operations in search of the warden.

 

Let us tell you that Rajaji administration had got this vehicle for patrolling and animal rescue. Wildlife Warden Alok, Forest Range Officer Shailesh Ghildiyal, Forest Range Officer Pramod Dhyani, Doctor Rakesh Nautiyal, besides Kulraj Singh, Himanshu Gosai, Saif Ali Khan, Ankush, Amit Semwal and Ashwin Biju were traveling in the vehicle for the trial. The vehicle was going from Cheela towards Rishikesh.

 

A little ahead of the Cheela power house, it suddenly went out of control and hit a tree and later the Cheela hit the parfait of the power canal. In the accident, some people got scattered and fell into the ditch. Wildlife protector Alokhi, who was traveling in the vehicle, fell into the canal. People traveling in another vehicle behind the vehicle informed the police and park administration. Also started rescue.

 

Police and forest department employees reached the spot, pulled out the injured from the ditch and took them to AIIMS for treatment. There the doctors declared Shailesh Ghildiyal (Range Officer), Pramod Dhyani (Deputy Ranger), Saif Ali Khan son of Khalil Ul Rehman, Kulraj Singh dead. Whereas, Himanshu Gosai son Govind Singh (driver), Rakesh Nautiyal, Ankush, Amit Semwal (driver), Ashwin Biju (24 years) (driver) are injured.
