Haldwani: On February 8, while breaking encroachment in Malik’s garden in Banbhulpura police station area, miscreants pelted stones and set fire to it. Many employees were injured in this violent incident and Municipal Corporation property also suffered huge damage. After assessing the loss, the corporation had sent a notice to Abdul Malik to recover an amount of more than Rs 2.5 crore. Since the amount has not been deposited yet,Therefore, legal action is being taken through Tehsil. Now the lawyer of Abdul Malik, who is said to be the main accused in this incident of disturbance, has filed a bail petition in the sessions court of Haldwani, the hearing of which will be held on 27th February.
