The weather suddenly changed in Uttarakhand on Wednesday afternoon and snowfall started in the high altitude areas including Chardham. At the same time, due to snowfall in Auli after a long time, the valleys appeared drenched in snow.

 

 

The probability of snowfall issued by the Meteorological Department in Uttarakhand has proved to be absolutely accurate. After a long wait, snowfall has started in the high altitude areas of Uttarakhand. Snowfall is being seen in Uttarkashi district since evening. The first snowfall of this year is occurring in the high altitude areas including the world famous Gangotri Dham, Harsil, Dharali, Yamunotri Dham during winter pilgrimage. Due to which the faces of the farmers have lit up.

 

 

Along with snowfall in the higher areas, the cold has increased due to frost in the lower areas. At the same time, according to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Center, there is an alert of fog in the plains today. On Wednesday, there was snowfall in Badrinath Dham, Hemkund Sahib, Valley of Flowers, Rudranath, Lal Mati and Neeti and Mana valleys. There was snowfall even till Hanuman Chatti.

 

 

Because there was no snowfall and rain in the district for a long time and today due to snowfall in high altitude areas, this snowfall is considered quite beneficial for the crops. If the snowfall in the high altitude areas continues like this, then a good amount of snowfall can be seen till tomorrow morning. Also, in the lower areas the sky has been cloudy since today. And there is every possibility of rain.

 

 

Also, the Meteorological Department had expressed the possibility that there may be snowfall in the higher reaches of the district and rain in the lower areas. It is proving to be accurate and due to lack of rain and snowfall in the district for a long time, there is dry cold. Today, people will get relief from dry cold due to snowfall in high altitude areas.

There was bright sunshine throughout the day in Dehradun. Dense fog increased problems till afternoon in Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar.

 

 

On the other hand, after a long wait, snow has fallen in Kedarnath Dham. The Dham has received the first snowfall of the year. Due to snowfall in Kedarnath Dham for a long time and no rain in the low lying areas, people were worried due to cold wave in the entire district. The severity of cold has increased due to snowfall in the Dham. Along with ITBP soldiers, some saints and sages are living in the Dham.

 

 

However, snowfall is occurring in high altitude areas. But it has not rained in the low lying areas yet. Farmers are very worried due to lack of rain. Along with this, natural water sources have dried up. In such a situation, it is very important for rain to occur in the low-lying areas.
